Monkey wishes that this website can be used by everybody, and has ensured much care has been invested in the design of the site. Each page aspires to be standards compliant and semantically correct, and care has been taken to make each page both accessible and usable. The hope is that you feel in control

  • care has been taken to ensure content is well-structured and that the underlying markup is semantically correct (that is, used as intended within the specification)
  • the layout and style is further enriched for users browsing with newer versions of Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Opera
  • users browsing with Internet Explorer can still access all information, but the visual experience may be slightly diminished
  • users browsing with versions 6 or below of Internet Explorer are urged to upgrade their browser, and recommended to to select one of Safari or Firefox

Navigation & links

Ease and consistency of navigation around the site is important. The following usability and accessibility features have been implemented …

  • hidden ‘skip to content’ and ‘skip to footer’ links at the top of each page to provide screen reader and keyboard users quick access to content
  • the main content pages of the site can be accessed using one of the main navigation options consistently located at the top of the page
  • secondary content may be available using further navigation tabs and links from a main page
  • ‘reference’ information, for example site map or accessibility statement, is consistently available through links provided within the footer. Links are always provided at the top of the content of these ‘reference’ pages to enable quick navigation back to the previous page
